Pinterest kept us up all night!

Yep, so Krissy and I stayed up until almost three in the morning last night making crafts we liked from Pinterest. We made hand stamped muslin strips to use as ribbon with gifts. I think it turned out pretty cute! I think the blue has kind of a "french country charm" look to it. Similar to the blue and white china that is so popular.

We also spent a lot of time experimenting with putting some writing on the fabric. We chose the phrase "all is calm, all is bright" and wanted to make it red for Christmas...but ran into some practicality problems. We used a cricut to cut out the phrases and then tried painting over it like a stencil, that didn't work too well. Then we tried spraying it with a little spray bottle red "paint" and then finally used spray paint in the end, because the other methods had too much bleed out from the stencil. So still some work to do to perfect it, but it could be neat. Here is what we came up with.....finally at like 3 in the morning.

Yep, here's our fingers after our stencil experiment. There were also balls of red stained rags laying around afterwards. It looked like some kind of crime scene! Haha!

We also made homemade sea salt caramels for fun, also from pinterest. In the directions it said to be careful when you add the cream because it will "bubble violently"we were a little too excited about that part. What a fun night lil sis!
